Why YLJB?
Like the idea of a nourishing and hydrating lip balm with just a hint of tint that’s natural and tastes amazing?! We’ve got you covered!
Our all natural lip balms we’ve been making for over two decades have been a cult favorite with our customers, and for good reason.
Infused with a hydrating blend of sunflower, olive, and almond oils, our balms soothe, hydrate and protect without even a hint of stickiness (an issue for people with long hair and now with masks covering our mouths, it’s becoming even more important to stay soft and soothed rather than richly tinted and sticky).
We took our original formulation and added natural carmine to tint just enough to be there, but not enough for anyone to know it’s not YOUR lips. We just make them a little better! 🙂
We believe our balm is the most beautiful, natural, soft, silky, delicious lip balm on the market today and we hope you fall in love with it and share with all your friends. We’ve priced it so you can have a ton of fun gifting and we hope you do!

What does YLJB taste like?
A creamsicle ice cream from childhood! Orange and vanilla is such a yummy flavor combo and as our first flavor out of the gate, we wanted to appeal to as many people as possible.
Where is YLJB made?
After founding and building the company in the year 2000 in the Maritimes, Lemon Balm Lane now operates on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada.
Who is YLJB made for?
Your Lips... Just Better! is made for anyone wanting a natural tint to their lips in a soft, smooth, application.
How do I use Your Lips…Just BETTER (YLJB)?
Start out with clean, dry lips.
Apply one coat of YLJB to both top and bottom lips. Take a look and decide if it’s enough color, or if you’d like to build it a little bit. If so, add another layer... and another...
Can I wear lipstick underneath YLJB?
Yes! YLJB makes a beautiful lipstick topper that provides some lovely hydration to the lips. To wear lipstick AND YLJB, start with clean, dry lips and apply your lipstick (a matte finish works best) and then apply your YLJB over top.
Can I use YLJB on my cheeks or eyelids as a tint?
While we designed YLJB for the lips, it absolutely works beautifully as a very pretty cream-blush and/or sheer eye color/base for doing a shimmering eyeshadow. With its natural formulation, you are welcome to try it anywhere you like! It just might become the one and only piece of "makeup" you ever need!
What is YLJB tinted with?
We use all natural carmine to tint our lip balm.
Is YLJB vegan?
No, it is not vegan. We use carmine and beeswax in our product.
When I open my tube, the color is soooo dark! Is that normal?
It is normal! Although it appears richly pigmented in the tube, in reality, it glides on with just the perfect wash of color.
Does YLJB come in any other flavors?
Currently, we only sell it in the orange vanilla flavor, but you never know what the future holds! Email us at hello@YourLipsJustBetter.com if you have a flavor request.
What If I notice my lips are actually chapping when I use YLJB?
Sometimes, our customers report an “adjustment period”, where their lips can become dry and chapped as a result of switching from more chemical-based lip balms to our natural balm. We recommend sticking with YLJB for 2 weeks exclusively (don’t toggle back and forth) to give your lips time to adjust. Once they do, we believe you’ll never want to use another tinted balm again! Over time, you'll notice lasting changes such as soft, supple, nourished and happy lips as well as significantly better hydration.
What makes YLJB so smooth and soft?
The most common reaction we get when someone applies our lip balm for the first time is, “Wow! It’s soooo soft!!” and that’s because we use ultra-hydrating and nourishing butters and oils like cocoa butter, beeswax, olive, almond and sunflower oils, plus healing herbs like lemon balm, eucalyptus and sage. Our artisinal, hand-crafted lip balm is made in small batches to ensure consistency and quality. We hope you love wearing it as much as we love making it!
We hope this answers the most common questions, but if you’ve still got some, please let us know! Send an email to hello@YourLipsJustBetter.com and we will be happy to help you out.
